Anyone enjoy playing board games with your kids? Lately, we have been loving it! One of our favorites to play as a family is Monopoly. Of course, we play the original but right now it's all about Monopoly Deal. This is a card game with all of the familiarity of Monopoly but with a new set of rules. So of course I had to make a fun food art lunch for my kids to take to school!
Playing Monopoly with your kids can be a chance to talk, laugh, and connect with each other. Plus, it's a fun way to unplug from screens and distractions and focus on each other for a few hours. And since games can last a while, it's a perfect activity for a rainy day or a lazy weekend.
So next time you're looking for a way to bond with your kids, pull out the Monopoly board and start playing. Then make take a few ideas from this lunch or make the entire thing!
Ingredients:
Monopoly Sandwich: Whole wheat bread, sliced meat, sliced cheddar cheese, nori (roasted seaweed), red and green apples, flour tortilla, black food coloring marker.
Dice Trail Mix: Your child's favorite trail mix with nuts and dried fruit, mini marshmallows, black food coloring marker.
Boardwalk Dessert: Sliced strawberries, blue and white fondant, black food coloring marker.
