I'm always looking for new Easter food art ideas when it occurred to me. Why can't I turn the famous bunny pancake food art idea into a sandwich for Easter? So that is exactly what I did. It was pretty easy with a few tortillas and some circle cutters. You can make it for your kids as well and I'm going to show you how!
Ingredients: Spinach tortilla, whole wheat tortilla, white cheese, meat, baby carrots, broccoli, bunny shaped crackers, black food coloring.
Directions:
1. Cut two squares of spinach tortilla to fit the bottom of main compartment of the lunchbox. Place one in lunchbox, drop in meat and cheese, and cover with second piece of spinach tortilla.
2. On top of spinach tortilla, arrange whole wheat tortilla body, ears, head, and feet. Use white cheese for the tail and bottom of the feet. Draw toes with black food coloring marker or on a toothpick. Optionally you can "glue" the bunny pieces to the spinach tortilla using a condiment like mustard or mayo.
3. In one side compartment put in carrots and broccoli on the top to make it look like they were just pulled out of the garden.
4. In second side compartment place bunny shaped crackers.

If someone prepared such a beautiful lunch box for me, I would eat it every day without getting bored. Block Blast
ReplyDeleteWhat a creative lunch idea! As a parent who loves making fun lunches for my kids, this bunny design is perfect for Easter. My children got into collecting cards on Pokemon TCG Pocket recently, so I'm thinking of combining your bunny idea with some of their favorite Pokemon characters - maybe a Pikachu-shaped sandwich next! Love how you made the garden effect with the carrots and broccoli. Thanks for the inspiration!
