Who needs an easy and fun treat to serve this holiday season? I know I'm always looking for new ideas! That's why we've made these Life Cereal holiday-themed bars that are great for your family to make for dessert.
We love Life Cereal for breakfast time so I figured...why does the morning have to have all of the fun? We decided that after dinner during Christmas is a great time to enjoy this recipe. So, take some time to celebrate the joys of togetherness this holiday season by taking Life beyond the cereal bowl. Besides Life Cereal, all you need are just a few more ingredients. Follow my easy directions below.

Who doesn't love Snoopy at Christmas? Whether you watch A Charlie Brown Christmas, read Peanuts, or just enjoy everything Snoopy, this can be a fun and unexpected lunch! Snoopy, Charlie Brown, and the rest of the Peanuts gang are iconic and can make a great holiday recipe whether it's in a lunchbox or a snack during Christmas break.
For the side dishes, I just used some holiday-themed snacks that I found at the grocery store. The snowflakes are chips and the tree is a marshmallow dessert. I placed it on top of crackers and some sliced meat. Don't worry, the meat wasn't touching the marshmallow. To see how to make Snoopy, keep reading!

If you've been around awhile, you know that one of my family's favorite Christmas movies is A Christmas Story. It is a classic and if you've never watched it, stop reading this, watch the entire thing, then come back for this recipe. I'll wait. Ok, you're all caught up now, good. I make my kids an A Christmas Story lunch every year and always try to add something new. This year I added a "You'll shoot your eye out" part of the lunch!

Thanksgiving is absolutely one of the most delicious meals of the year. Once those leaves start to turn, I start dreaming of that deep-fried turkey goodness. So in preparation for getting on those stretchy pants, I always have to make a fun turkey-themed lunch or two for my kids. This year is no different, so here is a food art turkey that ironically contains no turkey. Although it could. The meat is up to you!
The easy thing about making holiday-themed lunches is that you can substitute whatever your kids like or whatever you have on hand. So feel free to throw in different types of fruits, veggies, desserts, etc. Keep reading to find out what I included!

Nothing says fall like football! We just finished up both of my sons' youth football leagues and my daughter is just about done with her first season with the high school marching band, which plays every Friday night at games. I'm also knee-deep in my fantasy football leagues, one of which I'm barely still alive in but stubbornly hanging on.
I haven't even mentioned watching NFL games yet. We live in Oklahoma which means people live and die with OU and OSU but we are more into the Seattle Seahawks. So yeah, you can say football is a big deal in our house. This is why it is time to break out the football lunch. This lunch features football sandwiches, fall-themed chips and apples, and some pumpkin-shaped desserts. I believe we bought all of these fall-themed sides at Trader Joe's, but you can find similar ones at different stores. Keep reading for the rest of the directions.

I don't think that you can ever make too many The Nightmare Before Christmas recipes in the time period leading up to Halloween and finishing at Christmas. So go crazy. Make 5, 10, or even one every day. I guarantee that your kids won't mind either. I think this is my third of the season and I hope to make a couple more.
This school lunch recipe includes Jack Skellington made from rice (with protein underneath), ghost chips on the side, and an Oreo cookie swirled mountain from the movie in the other side compartment. Keep reading to find out my tips on how to make this lunch for your kids.

I made three different Mickey Ears Halloween sandwiches for my three kids but it also gives you options on what sandwich to make for your kids. Would they choose Frankenstein? The Mummy? or Maybe a Jack-o-Lantern? Keep reading to find out how to make them all!

Since The Nightmare Before Christmas is one of our favorite Halloween/Christmas movies, we have to do at least one Jack Skellington lunch recipe every year. This one is pretty simple because I was short on time. I think it would be fun for any kid that loves this movie!
Side note, I love all of the Halloween-themed snacks and treats in the stores right now. They make creating fun Halloween recipes really easy! I found these gummy vampire teeth at Target and they are pretty tasty. I might have had to sample one when I was making this lunch. I can neither confirm nor deny that. But while you figure that you, here is how to assemble this Halloween food art lunch for your kids.

Do your kids play a musical instrument? My daughter started out playing the flute in sixth grade, then in seventh grade, she switched to the saxophone. She has been playing it ever since and loves it. In fact, this year as a freshman in high school she started marching band. How come no one told my wife and me that this takes as much of a time commitment as being on the football team? We love watching her play though and now my son is in the sixth grade playing the trumpet. Because of this, I figured it was definitely time to make a musical instrument lunch!

I have a confession. I don't know much about Roblox. Most of what I know comes from what my sons tell me because they want to play it any chance that they get. Mostly they just play with their cousins. So this lunch took quite a bit of Google homework to accomplish. It actually might have taken longer to research Roblox characters and items than actually making the lunch!

My family has been going non-stop lately. However, one thing that we've made some time for is watching Loki on Disney+. I'm not saying that we watched it every week, we definitely fell behind, but we made sure to finish the season because it was so good! It was definitely full of twists and turns and my kids were begging for it every week. Since back-to-school time is here, I knew I had to make them a fun Loki food art lunch to celebrate our favorite series of the summer.
Loki is probably their favorite Marvel villain. Wait, is he still a villain? I guess we will have to see in season two. You have probably noticed by now that this lunch isn't Tom Hiddleston who plays Loki. This lunch features one of our favorite variants...Alligator Loki! This Loki variant was a hilarious surprise and a character that I hope returns. But until then, you will have to make the alligator sandwich for your kids. Here is how to do it.

Back-to-school time can be out of this world but so can your child's school lunch! This fun and easy space alien school lunch recipe will make them the star of their lunch table. I paired this Dandy celery alien with a planetary sandwich and green alien ooze yogurt.
The heroes of this lunch are Dandy celery sticks. My kids love them with cream cheese and also without. But that is why I love packing Dandy celery sticks in their lunch, they are so refreshing and versatile. These sticks are high in crunch and low in calories to make a great addition to any school lunchbox. Keep reading to find out how to make this tasty alien that your kids will devour!

Super Mario Bros. never goes out of style, right? Super Mario Bros 3 was my favorite video game as a kid and I still believe it is the best game ever. When the Classic NES came out my youngest loved many of the games but the Mario Bros. were his go-to. Of course, Super Smash Bros. is a winner with all of my kids. Let's not even get into the 80's movie The Wizard starring Fred Savage. The Power Glove anyone? So it was time to make my kids another Mario, Luigi, and Princess Peach lunch! Read below to find out how to make this school lunch for your Nintendo loving kids.

Anyone who knows my family knows that we are huge Golden State Warriors fans. I grew up in Northern California and we lived in the bay area for many years. My kids were all born there. We live in OKC now but we haven't given up our bay area roots when it comes to the NBA. Of course, we all love Steph Curry as well. he not only lights it up on the court but seems to be a genuinely nice guy.
I have made Warriors food art for my kids before, but this time it's the end of the school year and it's the end of the NBA season. Maybe this can help my kids, The Warriors, and Curry to finish strong? This lunch features an Oakland Forever Warriors jersey sandwich and mandarin orange basketball. Read below to see the ingredients I used.

What kid doesn't like Minions? I feel like these characters from Despicable Me have morphed from cute sidekicks to timeless characters that will be loved by generations. This is why my youngest to my oldest all love these creatures. Not to mention that Gru wouldn't be able to do half the stuff he does without them! This is why I had to make them into a lunch again.
Bananas are of course the perfect base for this lunch since Minions are obsessed with them anyway. I paired this with a teddy bear sandwich shaped like the Minions' favorite stuffed animal and also a blue and yellow treat. It's also fun to include some random stickers to complete the look. Fortunately, Minions are into pretty much everything so many stickers will work, Keep reading to find out how to make the actual food!

My family has been loving Falcon and The Winter Soldier on Disney+! Of course, we have been loving these Avengers superheroes all along in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The problem with Wandavision ending was that we were going to be without our beloved Marvel superhero shows. Then this show came along to fill our time and we aren't complaining. The only problem is that we are a little behind but don't tell anyone, we will catch up soon!
Until then I had to celebrate this amazing season one with Sam and Bucky and make my kids a Falcon and The Winter Soldier food art lunch! It is complete with a Captain America shield sandwich and Falcon uniform dessert. I guess this will have to tide us over until Loki finally debuts! Keep reading for how to make it.

If you talk to my family about children's books for any length of time, you won't get too far into the conversation without bringing up multiple Beverley Cleary books. She impacted my wife and me, as well as our kids, with her timeless characters such as Henry Huggins, Ramona and Beezus, and more. My personal favorite story of hers was The Mouse and The Motorcycle. I read it to my kids as soon as they were old enough.
I still remember sitting in my classroom in elementary school and reading this book for the first time. I was so engrossed in the story that I tuned out everything else around me and thirty minutes later was startled back to reality by a noise. I wanted to be like Keith and have my own mouse named Ralph who could drive toy motorcycles around. What kid wouldn't dream of this?
My family was saddened by her passing but in honor of Beverley Cleary's life, I made my son a Ralph S. Mouse The Mouse and The Motorcycle lunch. Can you spot the references to the book in this lunchbox?

I'm always looking for new Easter food art ideas when it occurred to me. Why can't I turn the famous bunny pancake food art idea into a sandwich for Easter? So that is exactly what I did. It was pretty easy with a few tortillas and some circle cutters. You can make it for your kids as well and I'm going to show you how!

If you're looking for an easy Easter dessert recipe that your family will ask for over and over, look no further. I created these Cadbury Egg and Reese's Egg Bombs this year and they might be the tastiest Easter treat I've ever made. All you need are three ingredients and your family will ask you to make these year after year. Thankfully for my waistline, the chocolate eggs are hard to find except around Easter.
I baked this recipe in an air fryer but you can probably make them in an oven as well. The secret to these chocolate Easter egg croissant bombs is to make sure that whatever egg you use is completely frozen. I put mine in overnight but they might be frozen enough in a few hours. If you don't freeze them, they will melt and ooze out all over. Now to show you how to easily make these.

If you're mixing cuisines in your kid's lunch, why not do it on St. Patrick's Day? I decided to make a Shamrock quesadilla using heart cookie cutters but I also wanted to try to make sushi. So it made perfect sense to make Mexican food and Japanese food for a lunch on an Irish holiday, right?! Here is how I made these food art recipes for my kids.
Side note, I'm terrible at rolling sushi. I'm sure many of you out there can do a much better job than I did here. I tried to make a rainbow-themed roll which was tasty but I guess I need more practice. Maybe I should watch more YouTube videos on the topic as well. I also used to be really bad at cutting out hearts but then I just bought heart cookie cutters to make my life easier!

There's something about St. Patrick's Day that is just magical for me and my family. I love the shamrocks, the pots of gold, the leprechauns, and the food! Call me crazy but I love corned beef and cabbage too. In fact, that is a St. Patrick's Day non-negotiable dinner tradition for my family. But I also always have fun making food art lunches that celebrate this time of year.
