There aren't many characters as timeless as Scooby-Doo. I watched the show growing up and my kids now love it too! My youngest always asks to watch Scooby-Doo Mystery Incorporated on Netflix. I always bug my kids when they are watching the show by singing the original (and best) theme song while they yell back at me that that's not how it goes. It only makes me sing "Scooby Dooby Doo, where are you? Couldn't have the show without ya" even louder.
Since they love the show and the characters so much, I thought it was time to make my first Scooby lunch for them. It did not disappoint. Here is how I made it and how you can make it as well!
Ingredients: Whole wheat tortilla, blackberries, grapes, white cheese, black olive, turkey, black food coloring marker, Scooby Snacks, baby carrots, multiple colors of fondant, yellow and blue fruit by the foot.
Directions:
1. Cut pieces of tortilla to make Scooby's head. You will need his head, neck, and ears. I then used turkey on his ears, a blackberry for his nose, and fruit by the foot for his collar. His eyes are white cheese and olives. Under Scooby is more white cheese and turkey. Below that is fruit. I made his facial features using black food coloring marker.
2. In the side compartment I put baby carrots as a background. Then I cut fondant in black, orange, green, and blue to make the iconic Mystery Machine!
3. In the second side compartment I found Scooby Snacks at Walmart. They are graham crackers and besides fitting the theme perfectly, taste really good. I might have snuck a few myself!
