What's your favorite classic family holiday movie? Whenever I think about this question I always tend to forget about It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown. I don't know why I forget about it, I've seen it what seems like a thousand times. It's such a great movie, but I whenever I think about Peanuts or Snoopy I always skip ahead to A Charlie Brown Christmas.
This year, I wanted to make sure that I didn't make this mistake so I made a fun Snoopy Halloween lunch in an Easy Lunch Boxes container. It's complete with a Great Pumpkin sandwich! Read below to find out how to make it for your own family.
Ingredients: Whole wheat bread slices, turkey slices, cheddar cheese slice, white cheese slice, nori (roasted seaweed), raisins, apples, crackers, Halloween Babybel Cheese.
Directions:
1. Cut two slices of bread and cheddar cheese into a simple pumpkin shape. If you want to make the pumpkin a little fancier, cut the cheddar slice into slices to give the pumpkin a little texture.
2. Put turkey slices between the two pieces of bread and top with the cheddar pumpkin. Place in the main compartment of lunchbox and surround with raisins.
3. Cut Snoopy out of white cheese. He is really easy, basically a long strip with three bumps for the feet, stomach, and head. Then you need one more piece for the arm. Put Snoopy on top of the pumpkin.
4. Cut Snoopy and Great Pumpkin facial features out of nori. Use my photo as a guide for the pieces. Place them where they need to go.
5. Use a leaf shaped cutter to create fall leaf shapes out of apples. Put in side compartment.
6. Fill second side compartment with crackers and Halloween themed cheese. I used Babybel because it was easy and the jack o' lantern fit in with the lunch.
7. Enjoy a safe and happy Halloween!
